كشفت جمعية نقاد السينما (BFCA) ترشيحات جوائز اختيار النقاد للأفلام (Critics' Choice Movie Award) في نسختها الـ26، والمقرر إعلان الفائزين بجوائزها في حفل فعلي وافتراضي بنفس الوقت يقام في 7 مارس المقبل.
وسيطر عملاق البث الرقمي نتفليكس على القائمة بـ46 ترشيحا، وحصل على 4 ترشيحات بفئة أفضل فيلم وهو رقم قياسي لأي ستديو طوال تاريخ الجائزة، بفضل ترشيحات أفلام: "Da 5 Bloods" و"Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom" و"Mank" و"The Trial of the Chicago 7".
وتصدر فيلم "Mank" للمخرج ديفيد فينشر القائمة بـ12 ترشيحا، تلاه فيلم "Minari" للمخرج لي إيزاك تشونج بـ10 ترشيحات بما في ذلك أفضل فيلم وأفضل فيلم أجنبي، بينما حصل فيلم "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" للنجمة فايولا دافيس على 8 ترشيحات.
